  July 3,2008 Washington Roundtable: Making Health Insurance Accessible to Latinos There is much debate and disagreement on the issue of affordable health insurance and quality healthcare. In this installment of DCB'08, Ray Suárez moderates a discussion with a distinguished panel of guests. Dr. Jaime Torres of the Latinos for National Health Insurance feels the current state of affairs is a prescription for disaster and that we want a national healthcare plan that insures "every person in American." • In conjunction with the Center for the Health of Urban Minorities we obtained a two-year grant from the NYS Health Foundation to do economic analysis of different alternative for expanding insurance coverage in New York State
